Hi all, i have a juwel rio 180 with 3 x 30w tubes in at the minute and was wondering what the best combination of tube would be for both plant growth and fish colour. I know i cant use the interpet daylight plus or triplus due to the built in reflector so does anyone have any other ideas/combinations
Thanks

Hi m8

In my vision 180 i have 1 Arcadia freshwater an old style interpet daylight plus (acorn pet centres still stock the old ones) and an Arcadia original, with the freshwater and the daylight plus at the back they really bring out the greens of the plants, with the Arcadia original at the front it brings out the blues and reds of my fish better than the interpet triplus i had in before ..

there is better tubes out there but i got fed up of asking and getting different suggestions that i just put in what i could find in the shops, i used to have 2 arcadia fresh water and 1 triplus and got good growth with them , with the new combination im still getting the same growth and the tank looks great so im happy lol

I have always favoured the Arcadia freshwater, gives a nice white light and good plant growth.

i would say 2 arcadia Freshwater and one with some red/purple in it. i used dennerle special plant. anything around 3000 - 5000K to bring out the fish colors. arcadia FW alone can look a little washed out IMO
