Upon assesing my financial circumstances I have temporarily abandon my plans for making my 75 USG (48"x18"x18") a high tech setup with tons of light and CO2.

I have a potential maximum of 120 watts of t-12 light (one 4 foot double strip and a 4 foot single strip). Water is slightly acidic (about 6.8-6.6) and soft (3dGH and 2-3dKH). The tank has been set up for a couple of years so it is well cycled. I plan on finding some driftwood I like. Currently has white sand but plan on switching substrates....don't know to what tho.

I know I like vallis, I was thinking a large grouping of vallis towards the back on one side of the tank. Amazon swords grow pretty well for me, so does hygrophilia polysperma (then again who don't those plants grow well for?) I'd like some anubias and java ferns attached to rocks (I have tons of granite rocks I've collected locally from lakes and streams). I have some creeping jenny hanging around, floating in the tank currently from my old 29 gal. I would also like some crypts for some mid-ground.

My issue arises here. I can't decide what other plants I want and will do well in my set up. I need a couple more species of back and/or midground plants and I would love a ground cover in the front. I love the look of hairgrass but I'm unsure if I have enough light in my tank for it.

This is how the tank looks now.

Any help from the planted gurus out there?

Your list of plants seem fine. You must forget that the Amazon Swords will fan out and will take up alot of space. Amazon swords grow leafier with age.
