Trying To Keep Calm But....not Yellow But Almost!

I have just been talking to an aquatic shop not too far from me and the man has bettas in every week, usually 8. He knew what he was talking about and says he has various tail types, and they are £3.50 each! He has ordered for next week, but he will speak to his supplier and see if he can get me a true yellow ct for the following week. Calm down, calm down..deep breaths...and then he will ring me. He asked me if I knew how to look after them! because he says they are one of his fave fish!

Lucky you! Unfortunately there's no one within the vicinity of me that orders any good quality bettas.

Nice man from this shop rang me today, just had bettas in but all red or blue vts. He has asked for some yellow cts and said if I go next Tuesday he should have some. Keep calm...in case he doesnt get any...but I will come home with something.

Are yellow crown tails rare? If so I should zip over to petsmart and rescue the only one they have in their cup outta there.

Its not extremely rare like a rainbow pearl or anything but Yellow is a hard line to keep clean and its a mutation of the red gene so you -might- get a yellow or two when you spawn cambodians together or something like that.

the UK shops are awful, around near me anyway, I was going to have a look at this shop today but I dont want any more bettas just a yellow one. I really am short of space! Started stacking critter keepers now but they look nice and the fish love watching me in the kitchen !

Been for a drive to the shop today. Lovely placeinside awful from the outside. Got tropical, koi, coldwater and marine. was in there ages talking to the chap who works there. The tanks were really clean they had some bettas but they were in super condition and in tanks with hardly any others in. Really got to sort out where I am going to put another fish. or 2

I have got a tank ready, got some lovely glass pebbles from Morrisons £1.50 a bag all different shapes. Just hope I dont come home with 2.
Had a disastrous day with tropical fish.. leaky tank upstairs, so had to get the water out quickly which was lovely water all clean and treated and save that, took about an hour but tank is sorted now. Was going to throw leaky tank out until hubby said I thought you wanted somewhere to put your GALS. I only see tanks with fish in not snails.
