Limited knowledge of these, but they look c.spirulus to me, purely on the vertical line pattern on the 1st and last pic.

thats what i thought but apparently cutteri also have it to a certain degree.

i onlyh really need the positive id as im seriously thinking about selling them so i can get a couple of sajicas . as im pretty certain i couldnt mix the 2 species

Would interbreed possibly? I would sell them as C.Spirulus, is someone knows different from the pics you use to sell them, then great, re-advertise

could be chance of interbreeding but its more agression issues im thinking of . with the fish being so similar it could almost be conspecific

tbh I'm sure that cutteri have been found to be simply a colour morph of the Spilurus and not a different species as first though

From a search online it seems cutteri doesn't really exist apart from a Synonyms of Spilurus, meaning that infact they are the same species.

Also from this description i'd daresay yours as the standard colour morph

Many geographical colour variants of the Spilurum exist in the wild. These include

The Cutteri (which is now considered a synonym, not a separate species), a fish with a spectacular neon blue horizontal strip across the flanks.

The Guatemalan Red-head, which as the name suggests, sports a reddish head, along with a partially red coloured dorsal fin.

Some variants from the northern part of their range have an overall light green body colour with maroon heads and vertical bars. And much sought after is the Lago Izabal strain which has a yellow head, throat and underside, with a maroon dorsal fin and a bright blue-green anal fin.

im gonna sell them so i can get a couple of sajica. they have about 2 weeks t sell or they can go to lfs .
