my lyretail molly male is proving to be a bully. ok so he chases the female molly but i guess thats to be expected! what i didnt count on was him attacking and constantly picking on some of the other fish ( a female platy who he's ripped scales off and he goes for the emperor tetras)

is there anything i can do to perhaps stop this behaviour or is it a case of removing him from that particular tank and trying him in another tank? (have a couple of community tanks) should i move the female molly with him or leave her in peace to live with the platys?

indeed. you should have for every 1 male 2-3 females in there. this will help with the agression also lots of plants and coverage will do.

he has just one lady, but has never seemed interested with her, he likes the other platy females! (apart from the one he beats up)

should i try a few more female mollies then?

Most definitely.
Another female or better still 2 more females and this problem should be solved :)

found out its not a male at all, it is in fact female!!!!!!!!

still unsure what to do, the bullying was in full flare last night. do i leave them fight it out or more troublesome female elsewhere?

Is there any chance you could put up a picture so we can confirm the sex?

If your sure you now have 2 females, buy a male and 1 more female.
