I am almost finished the old bottle of flake food, so i bought a new can.
the fishes are not eating the new stuff.
they would take a "bite", and spit it back out.

i still have a small pile of the old stuff left.

what's the easiest way to have them eat the new stuff?

their normal diet are some flake food in the morning and early afternoon, and some frozed blood worm late evening.

Dont mean to sound silly, are the 2 flake foods of the same make from the same manufacturer ???

some fish can be picky i know mine can be, my fish also sometimes suck in a flake then spit it out in pices then move ono a smaller flake.

sorry, forgot to mention
old food is of Sera brand, while new food is of Tetra brand.

mine does that too, expecially the angles

it could be that the fish have got used to the sera brand i have tried a couple of other brands but my fish don't like to eat them and either ignore it after taking a bite or keep spitting it out.

you could try buying another one of the brand you have and if they eat it i would presume they being fussy, you could also try mixing the 2 togehter when feeding may confuse them a little till the start to accept the tetra brand by itself

if you leave it long enough they will get hungry enough to eat it, they are being brats.
