this has been like this since the last water change 3 days ago? why? and will it kill my fish?

It'll be an algal bloom. It sometimes happens after a tank has been 'disrupted' in some way. It's absolutely nothing to worry about and won't harm your fish. A couple more large water changes should get rid if it.
