Hi I really hope someone here can help me. Several weeks ago we bought 2 crabs for our tropical tank I don't know what type they are but will try and describe them.
About the size of 50p coin inc legs.
Bright red pincers.
speckled red/brown shell.

They hide under a log and are rarely seen. Last week we found a empty shell in the tank and assumed one of them had died. Yesterday though on feeding, both crabs emerged. We also noticed a third crab. It was bright orange and slightly smaller than the other two. This morning it had not moved but seemed to be developing red speckles. It looks very soft.
I have no idea wether it is alive. I believe crabs lay eggs to reproduce. I am sorry to be so dense can anybody tell what this is.
