Hey Gang,

How do you think these fish will get along? and I hear the black ruby won't get very large so should I grab a couple more of them or should I get a couple more Goarmies?

1 Redtail Shark(4.5") 2yrs old
1 yoyo loach(2")
1 pleco(5")
4 red eye tetras(2")
2 blue goarimie(2.5")3 months ago
3 black ruby barbs(1")NEW
2 golden snails in a 30 gal tank. NEW

I have had the yoyo for about 1.75yrs and its stayed pretty much the same size.

One of the red eyes seems to chase the other red eyes but doesn't seem to be doing any damage.

sorry for the spelling....

Thanks for any comments.

Joe

Tetras chasing each other is normal unless the chasing is prolonged and you notice ripped fins all the time.

I take it you have all of these fish already...

If so, it looks like all of them will work, save the tetras. Well, that conjecture was reached merely by assessing behaviors of barbs, gouramis, and tetras I have kept/ seen in action. And the tetras might be all right in the tank provided your other fish don't chase after them too much (in which case you could get a few more in hopes of the aggression being meted out evenly).

Also, how big are the snails?

Yo yo loaches, rather, botias in general, tend to eat snails, so depending on the sizes of your snails, and if they breed the snails or their eggs might get eaten.

the size is 30gal. and yes I do have all of these fish right now.

THe snails are small, one is the size of a dime and the other is about a quarter - but I'm not sure how big they can get....

Also the Gouramies tend to shoot to the top of the tank once and while. I'm not sure if that is their nature or if one might be pregnant or if something is wrong.

Again, Thanks for your input!!! :D
