Tropical Fish Tank Background & Help On Deciding Fish

Hello Fellow Fish Keepers,

I currently have a 120 Litre tank and keep tropical fish(community fish tank)

Have had this running for the past 3 years, and I was justbrowsing on this forum, and saw some lovely colourful fish tanks.

Now if I can get this to work, Ill attach some pictures foryou to all to see, just needed some ideas for the background for the fish tank,just to show their colour more etc and what will look better or to leave it asit is.

I was thinking of changing it to either blue, how it is in the local pet shops, or black? or any other colour you think will look good, as the gravel is a mixture of colours red, green white, black etc etc

Currently the fish tank has got some tetras, 1 rainbow, 3green tiger barbs and 2 tiger barbs, but they are orangey colour.

Also was wondering to add some colour, to sell the barbs,and have a tank full off live bears such as guppies, mollies, swordtails. Alsosome rainbow fish and also blue / yellow gourami.

How many of each would you keep in a 120 Litre tank.

Also dont want to breed, so what sexes to keep?

Hi, and welcome! I would go either for a blue or a black background. My backgrounds are black and I have made them out of sturdy plastic dustbin bags. Is cheap, easy to attach and remove. Works very well for me.

What kind of rainbows do you have? These fish normally like to be in groups, so maybe you should up your numbers.

I use simple poster board from the drug store - black or blue and cello taped to the back of the tank (after cutting it to size).
