Tropical Fish Shops in south wales?

Hey guys, (and gals),

Do any of you know of any fish shops in the south wales areas?
I live in Newport so i wouldn't mind travelling to cardiff of possibly brtistol.

I just want a decent sized fish shop that i can look at loads of varieties of fish to stock my new tank.

Have you tried

World of water in st mellons garden centre v.gud selection but i think too pricey in my opinion.

Pets At Home in Newport road opposite the range. v.gud

Pet shop in plassy street in penarth, v.good fish and very cheap prices!!! my recomendation

there's loooooads of stores selling fish in Newport! (I was there last week )
Unfortunately as I'm not local to newport I don't know the place names - when she comes back online I shall consult my Newport girly for ya

in the town centre there is only one pet shop that i know of

If you're a Newport resident then you really should try Maidenhead Aquatics in Cwmbran. Not a big shop and not cheap but good. Other Maidenhead shops in the area are just off junction 32 (coryton) of the M4 and in Wenvo. The one by the M4 (Pugh's Garden Center) is huge but only really does run of the mill fish. The Wenvo store is slightly smaller with no marine section but has far more interesting fish if you're into cichlids and plecos.
I used to use World of Water (Blooms Garden Center) but don't any more. I find the fish tend to be less likely to survive for any length of time. They always seem to have a tank of fish with white spot too. Their dry goods are cheap though. Pets at Home isn't too bad. Again cheap dry goods.

If you want an exhaustive list, look in the telephone book or ggogle it.

I'm going to stick with Maidenhead at the moment. Expensive but the experience and quality are there to be seen (especially in Wenvo).

I saw quite a few walking into Newport from round by Somerton. Unfortunately as I'm not local I don't really know the names

Have you tried woodland walk garden centre?

They have a really good aquatic section and are very cheap compared to all the other live fish retailers in south wales, alsoood have a really good variety of fish. they are located just outside of llantrisant near pontypridd.
