I got a few fish from walmart a few weeks back and I just noticed tiny babies in my tank. I'm not sure who the mother is but all the fish in my tank are supposedly female so she must have be pregnant before I had her. I have two guppies, a neon tetra and an orange glowfish, two algae eaters and a white fish that I'm not sure of the name. I've added a picture and if any one knows the name or thinks they know what the fish is called please answer this question as well. Here is a picture of the white fish:

Anyways I've had a tank set up for two weeks just in case for some reason I would need to clean this tank out so I'm ready to transfer the bigger fish because the guppies especially are nipping at the babies but what do the babies eat? That is my question...

What do the baby fish eat? Where can I get it and for how much? Anything else I should consider? There is a storm coming and I dont think I'll be able to go out to the store till Tuesday...

The fish in the pic looks to be a dalmation molly. Female livebearers such as guppies can store sperm and continue to have fry for quite a while, every 28 days, even without a male in the tank.

On a side note, since you've only had the tank for 2 weeks, please read this thread on cycling. Other wise, you will start to see other problems with your fish related to poor water conditions.

Hi saraduh :)

Welcome to the forum! :flowers:

Livebearer fry can usually eat regular flake food if you crush it up very fine. Just make sure the bigger fish don't eat it all first.
