I love the Tropheus.sp and i love yours !! Nice set-up :good: ... you should put it in the pinned African tank pics thread.. there aint no Tropheus set-ups in there yet..

Yes i might but i really need to but a better camera and take some better pictures!

They look like descent photos to me :good:

If you do decide... you could always add a link to other photos in the details section ... and update/change your tank pic whenever you felt needed.

Btw... what substrate is that you have ?

you might want some more hiding places for when they are older and start breeding. The males get really territorial.

beautiful tropheus you have there, some great colours.

do you have problems keeping the pH alkaline with the wood in the tank? i read somewhere it makes the water soft and acidic but i could be wrong.

Is true, and a good point ..

If Essex tapwater is the same as here in London theni ts so hard that the bogwood will have no notable effect on the hardness. Nice colour on your colony, how many do you have in there? I like those big pieces of bogwood as a centre piece, maybe expand the rockpiles at each end though for more cover and territory?

Sorry it took so long for a reply internet at home is down so work is the only option!

Water is very hard down here so the wood makes no difference at all. the tank they are in at the moment is a temporary home they are being moved into 4 x 2 x 2 ft but just waiting for the room to be finished and carpet added so we will only move them once!

there are 15 in there at the moment but not sure how many females and male????????

well i think i covered everything

Sarah x :good: :good:

Well they have had babies and been moved here are the pitures see if you can spot the babes!
