Okay i am in two minds here,

i have twisted vallis in my tank and its started to melt as it adjusts to my tank :) i was expecting this so is okay but should i trim the melted part of the leaf or leave it to fall off eventually?

this leads to my other question, if to cut how to cut? now generally with stuff you cut at a 45 degree angle along the leaf is this still the case for best re-growth or just cut flat?

any tips much appreciated :D

thank you

Hi
unfortunately vallis will not regrow a damaged leaf, you can cut off melting tips at 45°, but IME it just delays the inevitable.
If it were me, i'd prune the whole leaf at the crown to encourage new growth.
