put some under a hairnet on a log.....worked and looked fine.

now a week on its getting very thick, i assume the "base" level will die with no light.

so do i trim it short....pluck it? or just leave it? (if i trim wont i expose the dead base layer?

T

ps. pearls like crazy 24 inches down!

oh stop it! You had me in tears laughing!

Seriously though Tiggs, Jimbooos the man to ask about Riccia (you could try PMing him). I've literally only just got some myself.

think i have solved it!

i trimmed it down short and it looks fine, still very green and lush and loads of o2 bubbles.

i have a load of glosso coming tommorow so that will fill up the rest of the foregound nicely.

T

i couldnt ask the loach.....he and the minow go to a lapdance club on Thursdays with the eskimo.......bit rare for fish but mine are sooooo lonley they like to get out more!

ohhh....and will i get grief for trimming the riccia without thought for how it feels about a trim? forced crewcut on a plant alert!

 how you could you be so cruel trimming the riccia, did it cry in pain ;)

Let us know how the riccia does? (as in growing well...as opposed to it pain levels!)

i put half a pint of clove oil in the tank to numb it..........not sure if this will effect the fish?
