My Dracaena keeps falling over from the betta knocking it can I superglue a large flat pebble or slat to the centre of the root mass so that it has a bit more of a base to hold it upright? Anyone else got any ideas? The roots are healthy and I think they are growing as one plant is against the side glass and the roots have moved through the sand of their own accord but they are not strong enough yet to survive a head on collision from a betta swimming with the water current. There are 2-3 plants in the area that may get knocked over. I am going to get another bag of sand this weekend bring the substrate thickness to 1-2" whilst its currently 1-3cm

i use lead to weight it down, small state pieces to trap it etc.

but the plant is non aquatic and will do better on your windowsil. :good:

I know it is non aquatic I am growing it in a tank with submerged roots and exposed leaves. There is space and lighting 1.5 foot above the tank for the dracaena to grow upwards and have a submerged aquascape below from the stems, I have had several threads about my plans posted. I have a couple of pieces of lead but not enough for all the plants, I tried it already the added weight didn't really help much it needs wider surface area to give better resistance imo.

Is it harmful to plants to superglue their base/end of stem (attempting to avoid as many roots as possible) to inorganic objects?

you couldget a few small rocks and make a mound around the base.
superglueing is fine, just dont superglue all of the roots!

I don't really want a rock effect hence why I want to super glue and use minimal amount of rocks.

1-3 cm atm it is sloped tomoz I will be making it level most probably
