I need some advice for when I get home from work, this evening.
Last Wednesday I performed a small water change then treated my tank with anti slime and velvet treatment. I had lost a small plec and two five year old panther cats. One of my big plecs had velvet really bad. The treatment seems to have done thre trick. Everyone seems happy and no velvet seems to be evident.
What I want to know is, should I repeat the course to be sure or not?
If I do have to, should I perform another water chage first?

Si.

Thank you very much indeed, Wilder, for your reply. I did do a water change as you advised. But I have no black carbon so I couldn't use any. My fish are looking a whole load better now.
Black carbon is now on my shopping list.

That good news as velvet far worse than whitespot and even hardier to get rid of.
