I'ved just noticed the first signs of Whitespot on one of my guppies, I think it's whitespot anyway. The spots are slightly raised, i'm not sure if thats the case with Whitespot. Also I was wondering which manufacturers treatment I should use and if I should treat the entire tank?

Thankyou in advance.

Yes,always treat the whole tank! I use melafix protizon(i think) but they all do the job. I had alot of trouble with female guppies ibought this week. 1 had a deformed body so i took it back and recieved 1 which the next day got whitespot and fin rot and died. SO im left with 1 which was fine at first which now has whitespot so shes in a breeding trap as i want to prevent it from spreading as much as possible! I have to add 3.5 mls a day so i put 1 ml in the trap and 2.5 in the main tank.
ALWAYS TREAT THE WHOLE TANK AS IT CAN DISAPPEAR OFF OF THE VICTIM AND THEN APPEAR WITHIN A DAY!!!!!

The spots do they look like grains of salt.

Need to get treating fast as whitespot can soon kill a fish.
Only had it once and used interpet whitespot med.
Turn temp up to 30, remove black carbon if you use it.
Increae aeration as the med and high temp reduce 02 in the water.
Good luck.

Thankyou. I have Interpret medication. Already increased temp to 29 degress C. I'll treat tomorrow, the whole tank(thanks connorsbala). She's the only one at the moment showing signs but i'm sure i'll nip it in the bud.

Thankyou again.

I would add it now.
Check instructions that you can use full dose with the fish you have.
Good luck.
