I'm dealing with a slight case of ich. I used the salt method to get rid of it.

My question is how many times do i do the salt thing. Once? or a number of times?
and How far apart should I do it if I need to do it more than once.

I'm at 2.5 tspn per gallon right now.

thanks

What fish do you have as some can't tolerate salt or high temps.

I have tiger barbs (5) cichlids (4) and a pleco

they are all doing great with 2.5 tspn per gallon. not stressed, or acting wierd in anyway.

I put that much salt in over a 2 day period so it would stress them out so much.

thats good to know. but what about the treatment does anyone know?

There are lots of treatments out there. I recently used Jungle's Ich Clear tablets on a betta, and it worked fine. Regardless of what you use, make sure you follow the directions as they are written, as some need to be used at 1/2 strength for the pleco. Also, slowly raising the temp to 84 can speed up the ich life cycle.

How big is your tank and what types of plecos do you have?

depends on a location for meds.
