ok, another update. I bought quICK Cure by.. APpro? The instructions didn't say that it was dangerous for corys or plecos, but it did say it was for my snail (and baby whales!! aww
)
i dosed it full strength, 20 drops for 20 gal. it says to add daily ffor 3 days. THEn do a water change if another treatment cycle is needed.
so it didn't say to do water changes in-between.
by the early evening corys looked a little too tired if i could say that.. they r still swimming around, but they also rest just by sitting and not really moving a lot. When i fed the tank, i did see one of the corys gulp up a blood worm. Pleco seems unaffected to me. Rest of the fish seem not to notice it at all too.
I put my snail in a large glass jar with clean water, thermometer and a tiny heater that keeps the temperature at 78F (i can't adjust it).
My 3 questions so far are:
1) does the snail need an air tubing? i put my only air tube into the sick aquarium to get at least some air (i don't have an air stone, just a tube w air in one spot going from the very bottom of the tank)
2) do i feed the snail in the jar?...
3) Most important: should i continue full dosage for the remaining 2 days OR cut back to half, and then possibly repeat the cycle with another 3 days of half dosage? Do you think they are less active because i have no lights on during the treatment and they figured it's night or do you think they might be shocked by the medication? mind it that they do still swim and dig sand and gravel. i jsut kinda worry about that downtime in between.
Thank you!!
EDIT: they do seem kinda active now..
