Found this forum and read what to do for ich. Have 5 gallon tank with two male guppies. One already died. Turned temp up, did 20% water change, treated with malachite green/formalin. Removed charcoal from filter and removed biowheel. Any other suggestions?

If those are the only fish, add salt. Aquarium salt boxes have instructions on them. This helps bolster their immunity.

Thanks for the suggestion. By late yesterday afternoon one of the remaining guppies had a bad infestation. I fully expected him to be dead by this morning. The water temp was 80 last night and 82 this morning. Surprise!! He is completely spot free. Did another water change and treated with cur-ick again. Thanks for the help. The second remains without spots. Hope we are on the upturn. Will get some salt today. :D

Well...got some salt and just added it. Dissolved it in some tank water and added it slowly with a syringe into where the filter empties into the tank. BUT...now the one that was clear this morning now has cottony looking spots - different than before - and half of his beautiful tail is gone. The other one remains spot free. Any more suggestions?

Salt is a pretty good thing to use when you are infested with parasites such as ICH just make sure that you don't have any catfish, or scaleless fish on the tank or you might end up killing your fish instead of curing them...

Update on sick fishies: just lost guppy #2. Only one beautiful red one left. He seems uninfected. Hope he survives. These two that died were new ones. I'm guessing whatever they had came with them when I got them. Don't have room for a quarantine tank.

How often do I add salt?
