I picked up a group of frontosa in pretty poor condition, signs of HITH on bigger ones and covered in bite marks and all had torn and ripped fins. I have run a course of Melafix for the wounds which are healing brilliant. I am doing daily waterchanges and the holes have gone from the size of a pin head to a pin hole. However on 2 of the larger ones (about 7")they each have what I can only discribe as a single pimple type growth at the site of a scar, there is no fungus growing out of it, but both are "twitching" as if the pimple is irritating, I have noticed on one of the smaller ones 3" a single sugar grain size white spot, but this fish is not flicking or twitching just the larger to with the pimple. I cant find out if ick is larger on larger fish or the same size. Just wondering if I should treat as a precaution, would it harm?

All now have good colouration and are all feeding well, water stats are spot on for them.

Is it possible to load a pic up of the pimples.
Pimples on the head region can also be hole in the head.
Get you some info.

Spots the size of a grain of salt is usually whitespot.
Do the spots move.
Also any tiny bubbles on the fish body or gills. As that can sometimes be a sign a fish is about to break out in whitespot.

Sorry can not get pics I have no camera my 2 year old finished it off!. The pimple is on the main body at the site of the scar along the lateral line, I am not sure if its just healing. The pimple does not move, but looking again today one of them has lost the "pimple". The little one with the single small white spot does look like an ich spot, but its just the one.
The holes on their heads are nothing like those on the link they are pit marks rather than pimples, but they I suppose could have been before I got them. I think if I see another sugar grain size spot I will treat them all. But I do have some sterazin too, just in case it is some sort of body fluke, not sure what to treat without actually seeing it close up!

Pitting is hole in the head.

If the fish do get anymore tiny grain salt spots I would treat for whitespot.
Don't use sterazin for whitespot, the treament for flukes.
