trating find rot

my betta had fin rot and last week i started treating it. I used BettaFix for 7 days like it said and to do a water change, then repeat if necessary. How do i know if i need to repeat the treatment?

I just went through this and it was suggested that I continue for a second week just to be sure, as finrot is so nasty and can come back. I am just about finished my second week, and my guy looks great!
