Hey Guys!

Hope your all well and your tanks are thriving!

I need a little advice - my guppies have had off spring! Yipee!

I was assuming that most of the fry would get eaten in my tank (adult guppies, white cloud mountain minnows, neon tetras, rummynose tetras and cories) as I didn't bother with any breeding net or anything like that. However, every single one has survived and they are now approx 5 weeks old and have been freely feeding with all my other fish.

I am going to skim off the best looking ones for myself however, i need some advice on the best way to get rid of the others as i haven't got the heart to kill them and i don't know anyone that wants them. So i was thinking of selling / giving them away maybe on ebay or something. I was thinking of putting collection only but doubt people will bother - so what do people recomend i use as my postal method? i've heard about heat packs etc. but where do you get them from?

Thanks everyone
Matt

firstly find a decent courier who offers a next day delivery service. And never post just before a weekend/bank holiday if you go with RM as you dont want them stuck in the sorting office all weekend!

polystyrene boxes as the outer protection and will keep in heat? big bags that hold as much oxygen in with water?

heres a good link

Ah thanks Spishkey thats an excellent article!

Strange it didn't come up in my search!

Time to get me a poly box me thinks - what about heat packs?

Thanks Matt

can you take them to a pet store?

I asked the local one but he said he only buy direct from his stockist - however he would 'take them off me and kill them humainly at a small price' - i'm thinking he will tell me that, charge me, then sell them so i'm rather against him now ! :)
