I had a royal gramma we bought for our 20 gal marine biology class tank. He was pretty sick then he recovered nicely, howver yesterday I notoiced part of his tail was gone and this morning he had been eaten! I think the yellow damsel did it. He was so small though...Very sad....

The damsel is a likely cuplrit Damsels arent called "Devil Fish " for nothing

yeah,damsels can wreak havoc. how long has the damsel been in the tank?
you may not be able to add anything else without similar problems.
