Totaly Confused,

Quick run down,
100g community tank
readings are
0
0
and 40 (thats what my tap water is)

the only symptoms are the flashing of the fish,slitly elevated "breathing" and the dead ones i find in the morning, so far i have lost 4 otos and a couple of corries, and not all at once ithere, this has been over the last 4 days or so.

all the fish are active,feeding fine, an the flashing is not that bad ither.

there are no red gills,
no marks/spots/

and the only think i have added to the tank resently is stress coat,and i only added that when the flashing started as a way of hopfully redusing the damage the fish may do to them selves with the flashing.

i have had a look threw the pinned topics and a few other online things,but with the only symtom been the flashing and dead,it is not getting me very far,

any one have any ideas?

Have you added anything new recently, such as fish or live plants in the last two weeks?

I have added both,just over 2 weeks ago
but the fish that have died are not my new additions.
plants were dipped for about 20 min in a strong tea-tree oil dip, and i made sure i took the fish from the water they came in when i transferd them,
i know it does not eliminate the risk,but must reduse any contaminates some!

Thats the concution i came to,however i just wanted to double and tripple check befor i start dosing.
