Alright well I have a young female betta that seems to have a persistent case of fin rot. It is not going any further but it will not go away or get any better at all it has been about three weeks. However this is not like the other fin rot there are no black ends when i shine a flashlight on her however I can see it is darkened in the normal light. She is eating her stress lines have begun to dissapear and she doesn't seem affected by it. I don't know what to do about it anymore it is pretty ugly I am just happy that it seems like aside from this trouble she is healthy. The water quality is good as I perform water changes often, she is warm enough and perky. I guess I am going to go for another round of bettamax....then if nothing seems to be happening and no one has any suggestions i will take her off the fungus meds and bettamax and hope it heals. Is there anything that can look like fin rot but be something else like a parasite or something? When I first bought her she did have parasites that i treated her for. Could this be a result of damage they may have done? Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer.
