Guys I feel like total crap this morning. My betta, Torque is dead, and it's my damn fault. Here's the story: My three platies from my 25 gallon got sick and so they wre moved into the quarintine tank to get better...unfortunately only Comet survived, but I'm glad that at least one of them did. I bought 6 harlequin rasboras from a new lfs who I've been looking at for several months now, and they seem to have good fish...I was wrong. The quarantine tank was being cleaned after the platies and so without anywhere to put the harlequins, I put them into their new 7 1/2 gallon home...the next morning two of them were dead. The next day two more were dead...and now this morning, Torque. It was a stupid mistake and I knew I shouldn't have done it... My betta is dead now because of me... :-(

oooh Hon! its not your fault!!!!! this things happens everyday! it was his time! you kno that things happens for some damn reason! that little guy could die from another thing... like....... try to jump out and get electrocutaded with the lighst... ok that its not helping....but you get my point do yoU? im sorry that little fella die :rip: but please! dont feeel responsible for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it makes me sad! wish i can send u one of my bettas the one you like , but i dont know how to send them! if i found how to send them im defently going to send it to you! i really am! trust me!,.... school time grrrrrrr! :grr:  thnx god its just this week and one more ! and i already failed :p (long story) but it doesnt matter as im going back to my country :/ ... and again dont feel responsible for him! it wasnt you r fault!

:rip:

Sorry to hear that. :-( Most of us have been there before though. I once wiped out a nice established group of quite expensive dwarf neon rainbowfish by adding 3 little unquarantined otos. Learn from your mistake and don't beat yourself up too much.

OMG! I just saw this, I am so sorry to hear that :-( Honestly, don't beat yourself up over it, there are so many things that could have happened that had nothing to do with not doing a quarantine.

I'm really sorry and I hope you aren't too upset. Like Luxum said, we all have things that happen at some time or another and it's frustrating. Just remember that Torque was in a 7 1/2 gallon tank while you had him! Think how happy he must have been and how lucky he was to go home with you. It's not hard to guess what kind of set-up every other betta at the store that day probably went home in.

Just continue to take care of your tank until you are sure that it's all clear, things will look up and eventually you'll become the home to another extremely lucky betta. :flowers:

Thanks guys. Your comments and thoughts mean a lot. When I came home today the last two of the harlequins were dead...these two showed signs of mouth rot/fungus (as did Torque's body), so I'm medicating my baby plec, Mr. Sprinkles, in dire hopes that he will not follow them to fishy heaven. :-( I am definitely going to learn from this mistake...the fish shouldn't have to suffer from my stupidity. :-( Torque will be sadly missed. :-(
