A few weeks ago i had a batch of white mollies, but they keep dying on me one by one, and it seems to be the smaller ones which are dying, the water conditions are fine, and i cant see any signs of diesese the only thing i can think is that, they came from some mollies which we only a few months old, im actually suprised that a small still almost baby mollie could actually have fry, so now im thinking mayb the mollie parents were too, wots the word immature to produce offspring and the the fry are not fully developed, could this be a reason why they are dying?

Sorry no advice, but you might try posting in the livebearer's forum. I have fully grownup mollies who can't even seem to have a batch of fry. :/

Are they in with the adult fish? They may not be getting enough food if so and they'll get pipped to what is there by their bigger siblings.

as said it very likely the smaller one's are being beaten to the food, and not getting anothe to eat, they will all grow at different rates depending on how doniment they are.

Livebearers can produce young from about 6 weeks on, even a bit younger with males.

I dout the perents age has anything to do with it.

You could crumble some of the flake at feeding time into tiny pieces. The fry will then be more likely to get some food, as the bigger fish will go for the larger pieces of flake. Also try alage tablets - break one into several pieces and put in tank in various spots - mollies love this.

I have bred mollies, i just recently sold 40 more and never had any problems with them.....and i also know how to feed them and they have their own tank so they are getting enough food.
