Well, i have a 60l tank filtered by a tetratec ex600 - 600lph

But i know i have atleast one deadspot and i was thinking about getting a powerhead

Would this be too much flow?

Tanks planted and will have corys, harlequins and amano shrimp.
yeah...a nano will do well...place the nano at the opposite end to the filter outlet, you might want to buy a plastic lily pipe from aqua essentials

Sorry for being dense, you mean for the filter right? :p

I have a set of glass lily pipes on the way. :)

I was thinking about having the lily pipe front left and the nano powerhead back right that sound ok?

if you add up all of the LPH for pumps and filters etc and then divide it by the volume of the tank in litres it should be between 10-15 IMO

you have 10 times at the moment...but you say you have dead spots so an additional power head will help.

if positioned correctly you should do fine with what you have, i had a fluval 205 on my 60l (660l/ph) with no probs :good:

personally i would add a smaller powerhead if you could find one.

I have a fluval 204 on my 25litre with half the media and I still want it to be more powerful!

Just a little bump, if the lily pipes dont cover the dead spot, ive found this

Which seems pretty good, ive read you can also use that particular one for water changes.

That would give me 16x turnover. Sound good? Any opinions on the powerhead?
yep theyre fine...might be cheaper at charter aquatics though...worth having a look...one niggle i have about these is that they have quite concentrated flow compared to the koralia

Hi Aaron my ex600 comes on wendesday i was wondering what you ment by positioning correctly, i was going to place the spray bar it the top of the tank under the water is this ok ?
