HI, i was jus wondering whether too much lighting will damage plants?

I mean, i know if there is alot of lighting but not enought nutrients in the soil, water or if there is not enought CO2 the plants will still not grow.If all the things necessary, i mean a good level of dissolved CO2, and plenty of nutrients both in soil and water are present but the lighting is waaaaay to bright, like say around 5-8 WPG are used, will the plants be, i dunno, be damaged in any way?
-_-

THANK

I see

But wouldnt the plants absor the nutrients and other stuff before the algea has a chance to do so??? :dunno:

Yes, until they use up one of the nutrients, causing a deficiency, then algae will grow rampant. You would have to have high co2 and maintain your nutrient levels daily.

Exactly, if you have an over-abundance of light, you'd need to off-set that by injecting enough CO2 into your tank to keep algae growth under control.
