Seems like a good deal for that kind of output? Anyone know if this would be too much for a 55 US gallon tank? I would like to be able to keep any kind of coral...and that would almost be 14watts/gallon. Also anyone know if this "brand" is good at all ?

Thanks

Also what is a good RO unit? 20 GPD would be more than enough... I have been buying my water from the LFS, which is fine..but I would like to make my own now :p.

Thats some beefy light right there. You could grow just about anything under that if the tank is 24" tall or shorter. Even most SPS, clams, and nems would do well. Not fantastic growth rates, but not poor ones either.

My general reccomendation would be an RO filter with a GPD that closely matches the tank's capacity.

What would make them grow fast, live long/healthy, and not cost a kidney?

And thanks for all the help ski :D

...and not cost a kidney?

When you figure that out you'll revolutionize the hobby

Seriously though, if you use those lights and concentrate on good flow, good skimming, and good water chemistry/husbandry you should have little troubles growing corals.

Im only a little worried about the chemistry, I need to get a better test for calcium etc. Flow/Skimming I think I have covered, I may just get those lights^^

Thanks a ton

That kind of light would not hurt any leathers i get, will it ?

Nope. I'd start them in the sand for a couple days just to acclimate them to the high light, but they'll do well.

Awesome, if he sells another ill grab it :D
