i think i put in too much fungistop in my fish tank and now my crabs and shrimps are dyin, i think! there movement has been reduced alot. All the other fish in my tank are fine, and i have alot of young/baby fish and i would have thought they would have been the 1st to die off. i'm abit upset, i feel blonde, the instructions are in german as i live over here in germany, i looked it up on the net after i had added the fungistop and i realised i have put too much in. instead of 20Ml i put in over double to amount i was suppose to.

i have empted the tank half way and put freash water in...

is there anything else i can do to save the rest of my fish before they get affected too?

Hi buzzin_benny :0

I'm not familiar with that specific product, but you did what I would have done by doing a partial water change. I'd probably do another one tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum! :hi: I'm sorry we meet under these circumstances, but perhaps our members can help your fish get well. I'll look forward to reading about them in the future.

I'll move your thread to the Emergency section where it has a better chance of being seen by members who can give you a better answer.

Hey.

Ive not used that product so not sure what it does. Are the fish gasping at the surface or showing any other signs of illness ?

As said, I would do another water change, maybe 30-40%. Put some carbon in your filter, it should remove the medication from the water.

Also if your doing alot of large water changes, keep an eye on your ammonia, nitrite levels, make sure they dont show anything.

Post back and let us know.

Good luck :good:

is this the fungistop that you are using?
