Fish Fanatic
I've had trumpet snails in my tanks for years. They're great for keeping the substrate aerated and I have had zero problems with algae. But suddenly they've taken over my Amazon tank. They're everywhere - on the glass, the plants, the wood, the filter tube...EVERYWHERE!!
I had a few pond snails and ramshorns as well, but ever since I added my 2 juvie turquoise severum, they've all disappeared (with the exception of some empty shells on the bottom), so I can only assume the sevs ate them. Not a problem. However, they are obviously not eating the trumpet snails. Is there any fish that would be compatible with the sevs (which will be re-housed in a couple of months), scalares, corys, farlowella and cardinals that would eat these buggers? Obviously, I would prefer another Amazon species, but at this point that's not a necessity. I can re-house the corys and/or the farlowella at the same time as the sevs, if need be. HELP!
