HI ALL

JUST A QUICK QUESTION,CAN YOU HAVE TOO MANY PLANTS IN YOUR TANK,I HAVE A 450 LTR TANK AND PLANTED IT,BUT THE PLANTS SEEM TO BE GROWING OUT OF CONTROL AND MY TANK LOOKS CLUSTERED.

can you not just remove some or trim them , i have just trimmed back one of mine that was growing out of control , looks far better for it ...

Prune them like you would in your garden, after all growing is what plants do!

I don't think there is a right answer to this but I personally think that yes there is such a thing as too many plants just as there is such a thing as too few. Having had a tank with no plants I got a lot of blue green algae to combat this I bought a lot of plants which got rid of the blue green but gave me regular algae. I think the amount of plants varies depending on factors like tank size lighting things like that it's all a balancing act get this balance right and you will have a beautiful tank

It depends on which style your looking to go with if any style at all.
Personally I like a tank full of plants and wood.
If your looking rid of any plants or cuttings then send them my way. :good:

You can easily cut them off with scissors. Just dont hurt any fish !
Fish like hiding places too, so don't minimize it way too much.
