Hi,

I was looking for some advice.

My tank consists of:
4 neon Tetras
3 black tetras
2 rosy tetras
2 congo tetras
2 gold tetras

do you think there are too many different breeds together?? or should i take some back and change them for more of the same.

thanks

Yes. Most tetras like to be in a school of 5 or more. One exception that I know of are Emperor Tetras, they can be kept as a pair.

Depending on the size of your tank could you increase the numbers to a minimum or 6+? Failing that then yes, you would be better off taking some back and increasing the numbers of those you keep.

Hi. It's a 63 litre tank so increasing the numbers probably wouldn't be a good idea?

Agreed, not a good idea.

Ok thanks for your help. I will see if they will take some back.

I would take back those congo tetras, they get huge and are not suitable for your tank. Stick with smaller tetras.
Good luck!
