Hi,
I'm not a beginner but this is defintiely a beginners question ...
I have a interpet PH2 filter in my tank and if anyone has seen these they will know that the white foam/carbon sit on the left and right side of a kind of cradle and which then leads into ceramic rings.
I was running the tank with a carbon and white foam up until I got a dose of hair algae which I have had to medicate my tank for.
I removed the carbon and replaced it with more foam .so now I have 2 pieces of thin foam in the filter.
There's now lots or unsightly dead hair algae flotaing in my tank (which then sticks to the glas after time), along with other bits of stuff.
Is there a way to stop it getting through the filter, as I usually see it getting sucked in and then back out of the outflow tube.
Other tanks I see have crytal clear waters, and glass .... mine is a disgrace
