can you have to much light in a tank?

i did the bigc (i think he's called) lighting upgrade on my juwel 60 tank. i have the standard bulb plus a 14w glo bulb. atm i only have the blue and silver small fish that glow up (tetras i think not sure) in the tank and when the lights on they sit at the bottom and dont do much, when the lights off they start to swim round the tank.

Some fish don't like the light on in the tank when you first buy them as some are from the wild.
Best to gradually build the light time up over a few weeks, say a few hours aday to start off with.

Do you have any plants that reach near the top of the tank? If not try adding some as this will help the fish feel more secure and then they will swim about more, as they dont like being in the open under bright light.

no im waiting for some tall ones to be delivered hopefully they should arrive today/tomorrow
