im going to start my planted tank again and not to sure whether to keep the background or not as it takes up alot of space but hide all the equipmeant

should i keep this back to nature background or not?

I think it depends what look you are trying to achieve. It would not suite a simplistic scape, but would look good for a 'jungle' style scape. Your choice really.
 
I am into small fish and heavily planted so I would really love this background. If that's your vision then deffo keep :good:

im going to replant my tank soon

just carnt decide as its nice but you loose 1/3 of the tank space! but it looks tidy as you dont see the equipment!
 
personally i would remove it and have a picture sheet stuck on the back as a background, then cover your equipment with plants and decor.but thats me, you might want to keep the background in the tank, depends on what fish your after.it looks good, i admit that, but personally, i think it takes up too much room.

totaly agrre except i would have a black or blue background i currently have 45 or 46 neon tetra's in there
