can i just take out my reactor 500 and just stick the airline tube in the intake of a filter?

im using pressurized and have my glass diffuser right under the intake of my xp-2..works fine for me since every now and then i get a good blast of even smaller bubbles around the tank

ya im doing it now...cuz my reactor is broken, it is not making that vortex plus it occupies space in the tank The only draw back is that it makes a spashing sound...not too bad , kinda soothing
