Anyone who has used this skimmer, I'd like to hear from you please.

BTT :good:

Havent used it but from what I have read the whole V2 range is very good (most people I have spoken to have recommended either a V2 or deltec skimmer).

The only negitive commments I have seen about the 120 and 200 are the small collection cup sizes. However these are "nano" skimmers so not sure exactly what people are expecting from them :)

I want to use this skimmer but my tank, in it's current form, won't allow it. I have heard nothing but good comments about this skimmer and agree with Barney with regards people's expectations of the cup collection size. Me thinks a huge cup kind of negates the whole 'nano' thing !! If you have a aquarium of 120 liters or less then it is a good buy.

Regards

I have one, It may be a bit of a prat to get set right in the begining but when you have it set and know how to get it right each time you have to clean it. IMHO its a great little skimmer for a confined space. In the early setup you will probably find that you will get a lot of microbubbles and this takes a fair amount of time to settle, probably a couple of weeks. But like I said this is a great skimmer for the money and it does a great job in my Nano sump. I clean the skimmate cup every other day, Buy a little toothbrush as this comes in handy at cleaning times either to clean the insides of the skimmer itself or just the skimmate collection cup.
Hope this was of some help.

Totally agree a right pain in the proverbial to set up. I find after I have stripped it down for a good clean it kicks out loads of microbubbles again.
But it seems to do a good job.
