Hi everyone. I just started my tank just over a week ago, i have 5 Zebra Danio (i think that's what they are called). As i was feeding them tonight i noticed that there are tiny black things on the glass, they are maybe 1-2mm, and they seem to sway. They can be knocked off, but appear to sort of swim back on.

What are they? I tried to take a digi pic of them, but after 5 attempts they just won't come out. Thanks for the help. :)

Ok now i think i'm going crazy! I just went back to the tank to check on them, and the tiny black things appear to be gone.

Either way, i still want to know what they are. Or did i just imagine this? lol

So, does anyone know what they are??? :D They're back again... :/

do the danios eat them?

Well, i'm not sure. They disspeared last night, and now some are back. There aren't as many as there were last night though. My fish seem healthy, but what do i know. :dunno:

If somebody can't identify them, then i'll try again to get a picture of them.

Could they be *gasp* fry? Maybe your danios got a little naughty during the night? :D

That's what my girlfriend was saying, but i know nothing about this stuff, and either does she. I would assume that a baby fish wouldn't be along the walls? I dunno... :dunno:

Danio fry do do that - they hatch and stick to the side of the tank for a short while.

But they are the size of a hair, see through and have 2 tiny eyes.

by the time they aren't transparrent - they will be swimming about (being eaten)
