I have had my tank 80L for nearly 12months now, water is changed at 25% every week, but i have these tiny air bubbles from about half way up my tank my tank to the surface? i have turned off my air stone and still bubbles, my water is kept filled to the top so no splashing on the surface by my filter its a Aqua One 510 so has the top filter?
If i ran a submerged filter would it be an improvement?
Pls help as i want crystal clear water..

If they are on the inside of the glass as I assume then they are due to imperfections in the glass surface, much they same as a beer glass only getting bubbles comimng from certain points. Why these imperfections are from halfway up is anybodies guess. Probably poor manufacturing. When you wipe them away do they come back again? If so there really is not much you can do. Maybe you can direct the output from your filter towards the front glass.

:good:

Its not on the glass just in the water in general and rise to the water surface... i have figured out its coming from my filter and the ceramaic noodles or the foam pad in the filter as i fill my water till it just touches the filter outlet and can now see where they are coming from.
What could i replace the noodles with? Or if i added a layer of wool as the final filter this might stop the air bubbles being produces in the media?
Any Ideas
Thanks

I have the same tank :good:

I posted the same query not long ago, because those tiny bubble do get annoying. I found that filling the water a good 1 or 2 cm above the drip tray, so that the water trickles back beneath the surface (a mere few millimetres from where the hood sits on the tank mind you!) alleviated the problem. Clear as crystal. I've since done my water changes though, albeit not filling it that high (the bubbles are still there, but I'm getting used to it). Btw, I found that keeping airstones in there will create those bubbles regardless, due to agitation.

Mine is filled to the filter drip line 5mm from spilling over the sides but still i get bubbles i changed my filter from foam to wool to try to soften the water flow but still the same maybe worse, I'm stumped....and frustrated.

I have this problem, I thought it was bits of gravel at first, someone with better eyesight than me noticed that they were in fact air bubbles coming from my filter. I have a PF1 internal power filter. otherwise my water is crystal clear too.
