Tinfoil Barbs - How Big Are They When They Usually Sell Them.

The ones at the local walmart I saw were $6.50 each and about 3 inches long. Alot bigger than I expected.

Our LFS has them sometimes at an inch or two. Same as with bala sharks, people buy them because they're so cute and little, not understanding that most of the fish sold are babies or juveniles and many, like the two named, will get really big unless they are stunted out of ignorance.

Well some Fish stores sell them at 16 inches. But those fish are pretty expensive. I saw some at my local pet store at 12 inches

i saw about 3-4 inches and $7 at my walmart, they were the "special order in" this month, i don't agree to these being sold at walmart though because the sales reps obviously don't know enough to tell someone not to put one in a 5-10 gallon...... how sad
