Tinfoil Barb

My TB is about 6" and looks great. Only thing I have noticed is that his color on his top fin has faded and is just a clear fin now. I have looked at pics of TB's online and some have all red fins and some look like mine.

Did his color on the top fin fade because he is sick or maybe they fade when they are older or based on mood? He is only about a year old though so i dunno.

Any opinions?

I've had a number of tinfoil barbs, and have never seen the colors fade when they got bigger like you described. Not sure why yours did that.

well not all of his color faded. just the color from his top fin. All the other fins are still bright red.

Same here... my Tinfoils fins were less colourful when small, but they turned bright red and stayed that way since they got larger.

Wish I knew what was causing that?
