Tinfoil Barb (b. Schwanenfeldii) Resistant Plants

So far I have yet to find plants that are not decimated by these fish, they have such an appetite.

Perhaps amazon swords? what do you guys recommend?

I would like to avoid plastic plants at all costs...

tinfoils will eat any plants you put in the tank. You can try feeding them on fruits and veges but they will still feed on plants when hungry.

Fortget live plants, if you want to keep tinfoils. Trade in those fish if you want to keep a planted tank.

Thanks, I was basically sure that no matter what these plants were doomed. I thought perhaps maybe some swords or something with tougher leaves would be able to stand up to them. Just making sure rather than buying some swords to find out they became and expensive tinfoil salad.

the strongest plant is anubias sp. But even these will struggle, and they are quite expensive too
