One of my guppies really deosn't look well. her back is arched and her tail is cerved slightly to one side. She also hasn't been able to eat for about a week and a half. At first she would bite the food, but it immidiatly cam back out of her mouth. Now she is reluctant to evan try to eat. I whent to petsmart and they ssaid this might by a genetic diseas. There is nothing on her. She has no bloat or anything. I am feeding her Topfin color inhancing flake food. I have moved her into a hospital tank that deosn't have a heater, so it is at room temparature. I have no more money left to buy her medication. I do have aquarium salt in there for her, about one tbsp per evey U.S. five gallons. I think it may be time to let her go to fishy heaven :byebye: . If so, what is the least painfull way to do it?

Reedings for the hospital tank are

Nitrate- 10
Nitrite- 0
hard water
ph- alcoline

I'm sorry I can't help you very much, however it may have been caused from inbreeding, was she like it when born?
Aquarium salt is rubbish, i'll try and find a link to one of the discussions on it for you :good:

She was not like this when she was born, but the petstore said that some guppies get like that when they get older. I don't know how old she is. I got her from a friend who didn't want her any more. Thanks for the links. I think, if it's not an inherited disorder, it might be osteoperosis or spozora. deos anyone know what the advanced symtomes of spozora are? I couldn't find them on google.
