i had my zoas about 8 days now and there still not opening properly. a few of them open but probally 66% stay closed and on the other rock 90% stay closed every day... should i move them to the other end of the tank and see if it makes any diffrence ? there seems to be more light on the other side and the heater is also closer to the other side. i guess they are doing ok because a few shoots have appeared on the rock and is growing nicely, inbetween the zoas rocks is another one wich i had about a month and it has 4 polyps on wich grow very quickly and are always open so im not so sure its the area of there tank they are in that isnt any good. any suggestions ?

Have you visually inspected for Nudibranchs or Sundial snails?

yup i have i dont keep a CUC at all for that very reason. i moved all the rocks about 9 days ago and all i have found is bristle worms, no snails or crabs at all. the brown polyps... not sure if there zoas or not are right next to the green zoas.. on a diffrent rock, and there doing great they grow each week and are always open just the green ones are hardly ever open and on 1 rock they havent opend at all. i did watch a bristle worm crawl up onto the rock of zoas but it moved away from them within 10 seconds. if anything was eating them i think they would go for the shoots first wich seem to be doing better than the zoas lol. all water parameters are good aswell.
