hello everyone, i have a ten gallon tank that has been running for awhile at first i was thinking multis then rams for awhile and found out my lfs had neolamprologus brevis and had a special 3/$9.99 each but they let me get just 2 and still 9.99 ea. so i have never used this lfs before but all there tanks looked good clean, they seemed like they new what they were doing although there were only 2 employees for a good sized independently owned lfs. now to get to my main point, so i got how acclimated them etc, etc. i felt bad because they didn't have a shell in the tank i bought them in and put a shell in the bag while they were acclimating the water parameters and when i began to put them in the female darted for the shell and stayed in there for a good 3-5 hours until i found her (scared me to death!!!) Anyway now the two seem to "share" a shell more or less as the female doesn't go any farther than the mouth of the shell and the male usually stays in a two and a half in area away from the shell until he sees me and sits near the entrance. he will let me approach for about 5 minutes and then will enter the shell as well.

i was just wondering how does it usually take for them to warm up to me and their new surroundings and be out of the shell when im in front of the tank watching them?

thanks a ton.
