My 55gal (uk) tank is well established and i have decided to add a few more fish... i am going to stick to dwarf cichlids or apistos but not sure what will be suitable and how many.
I know about the general rule of thumb with regards to inches of fish to inches of the tank but since they are territorial i want to see how many i can add.. i currently have 3 blue rams, 3 gold rams, a rusty plec, a clown plec, 3 danios and 2 western rainbows. I know its a bit of a mix right now but i will replace the non cichlids when they die! (sounds so morbid)

You could add a half dozen apistos all one species, or half a dozen bolivian rams would work. A trio of each would work just as well. If you go with apistos, I would recommend just one species to prevent hybridizing.
